Smt. Adhithi (Ramaa) Venkat started training at the age of three under the reputed Bharathanatyam gurus 'KalaiMamani' Shri. S. K. Kameswaran and 'Natya Thilakam' Smt. Saroja Kameswaran, disciples of Vazhuvoor Shri. Ramaiya Pillai and Vazhuvoor Shri. Mahadeva Pillai. In Seattle, she has participated in the 'Festival of India' organized by ISKCON. Adhithi, with her students has presented several performances, lecture-demonstrations and workshops at the Northwest FolkLife in the past few years. She has presented a lecture-demonstration on "Abhinaya and Rasas (emotions) in Bharathanatyam" for the ACME Foundation in Seattle. Adithi is a dancer dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, the purity of the Vazhuvoor style and its elegance. She is a Guru committed to communicating the power of this art form and helping the community absorb its beauty and culture. She has been coaching students in the "Vazhuvoor" style of Bharathanatyam since 1996 on the Eastside.
