Most recently, she was accepted as a student by S. Sowmya, the accomplished Carnatic music singer and founder of Carnatica.net. Nalini is well versed in various expositions of Carnatic music. She is also a member of the Evergreen Junior High Choir and has received an award as one of the two outstanding musicians of the year.
