Revathi Murthy is a senior at the International Community School in Kirkland. She has been learning Carnatic music for twelve years. Her first teacher was Mrs. Padma Kutty in Irvine, California. After moving to Seattle, she enrolled in the Sadhana School of Arts, where she was taught by Swapna Immaneni. Currently she is a student of Ashok Immaneni. Revathi enjoys singing complex raagams such as Purvi Kalyani, Simhendra Madhyamam, Kharaharapriya and Kamboji. In addition to studying Carnatic music, Revathi participates in her school drama, plays the violin, studies martial arts, and volunteers at Evergreen Hospital. Revathi aspires to become a doctor and have a career in public health.
