Srivani Jade is a Kirkland-based Indian classical musician. She was initiated into music at a young age by her father Bhavani Prasad Jade and her uncle Raghu Tilwalli. During her childhood in India she performed regularly on All India Radio and Doordarshan television. Since moving to the Seattle area she has performed for Pratidhwani, Town Hall Seattle, Northwest Folklife, Vancouver SaPaSa and others. She is interested in various kinds of Indian and World music and has recorded theme vocals for Tasveer Production's film "Tapasya". She has studied Khayal music from Dr. Sharad Gadre in Seattle and currently also studies Carnatic music from Vidushi Smt. Seetha Narayan of Chennai, India.
